Dear Recruiting Employer:
First of all, let us take this
opportunity to thank you for recruiting
with our consortium colleges and
universities over the past years.
We are thankful for the
experience and networking opportunities
offered by your organization during
the Job Market annual career
fair.
We formed some wonderful
relationships with you, and we look
forward to continuing those
relationships through a more intentional
effort.
Due to the economic downturn,
which has lasted far beyond our
expectations,
the Job Market consortium has
recognized a need to rebuild and
reconnect to each employer through a
formal on-campus recruitment model.
It is our hope that this timely
revision in our recruitment model will
prompt variety and purposeful student
and employer participation levels while
promoting a strategic collaboration as
we move towards 2012 and beyond.
Furthermore, the national trends
identified through our professional
affiliate, the National Association of
Colleges and Employers (NACE) indicate a
strategic recruitment model which
emphasizes stronger university-employer
partnerships through formal
interviewing. This process will lead to
quality career employment offers and
hiring that, ultimately yields
competitive benefits, resulting in a
win-win situation—our students hired by
you!
Finally, due to the varied
consortium academic schedules coupled
with the untimely loss of one of our
strongest consortium members, Lambuth
University, we are unable to achieve the
ethical stewardship previously offered
by
the Job Market.
In an effort to respect your
resources (people, budgetary, and time),
while ethically seeking to improve
recruitment for our students, the
consortium has committed to a new
collaborative model that allows you to
recruit at each campus without
scheduling conflicts while also
providing a high-quality recruiting
experience.
Each institution is committed to
helping you get the most out of your
travel budget, and therefore, will work
together to provide same-day recruitment
opportunities for your organization
through the on-campus, formal interview
process.
So, while
the Job Market is no longer a consortium fair opportunity, we
welcome your continued and strategic
partnership with each of our
colleges/universities.
For a list of on-campus
recruitment dates/fairs at each
individual campus, please contact the
appropriate representative listed below.
Thank you again for recruiting
with us!
Respectfully,
The Job Market
Consortium
